dryer works when it wants to...

Dryer works when it wants to. When it does work, it works wonderful, but then it won't work. Nothing happens when I touch the touch pad, only the light comes on when the front door is opened. Help!!!

0 I have the same problem, techs say it is the control panel which retains moisture and shorts it out, new panel is aboout 300.00. I want the repair manual to do it myself.
