my washer fills up with water and then suddenly stops, it does not start the washing process

0 problem: washer fills but cycles do not start. At first fixed by opening and closing the lid, then realized by placing a small glove under the lid, at the front just next to the lid handle, and closing it easy on the glove it worked. Now not working again. Imconfident It is the lid switch because it doesn't clicking sound anymore when opening or closing. If I can find a service manual I will take it apart and update my findings here. If anyone has this manual please e me, my-tech at hotmail.com.
