What is the cold water symbol on the temperature k...

What is the cold water symbol on the temperature knob? I do not see any symbol that correlates with the instruction manual. On top of temperature knob which shows numbers ranging from 400 to 1200 there is a concentric circle symbol with a " / " over it. Is this the symbol for cold water?
