Question About Hotpoint Washer/Dryer WD420
spin noise...

when it does its final spin it sounds like a road digger someting is grating some where and I dont know weather it is a fault or normal the machine is still under warenty but hotpoint are unable to do any thing as I have NOT got the recipt what shall I do?

5 reach in and pull straight up on the agitator... it pulls off ewasily enough.... You will see that under it , the tub itself has rusted thru and disenguaged with the agitater. I am looking for a new tub now myself , is how i found this posting....

0 what is the agitator...? if you show me a picture of the tube you need as i may have one cheers Karl

0 The hub that connects the trans to the tub rusted out. after pulling it apart I found the parts to fix it at sears. The parts were $50.60 with shiping and tax etc. The rest of the machine is fine. So I chose to fix it rather than replace it.
