Question About Hotpoint Washer/Dryer WD865
no power...

hi - i have a 2 year old hotpoint wd865 and it was working fine when i left for a weeks holiday. when i came back, i tried to switch it on but it was totally dead - pressed the ON button and nothing happened - no lights came on...nothing! i swapped the fuse on the plug (which is the limit of my technical abilities!) and this had no effect. am i missing something obvious or is it kaput - can anyone help please?

2 Just had my boiler serviced and the engineer turned off the washing machine as well... Now all I get is the child lockflashing and it will do nothing... What Now?? Can anyone help??

0 Hi I am carl I have done a lot of work on hotpoint washing machines if you would like me to have a look at it I can do so I am not qulified but 9 times out of every 10 that I do they are working when I leave my number is 07772359216 I can only do the london zones 1 to 6 my email address is carlwallis20@hotmail.com I only charge £50 a call out if I get it going if I dont I will only charge £20 for my time from Carl

0 hi carl and thanks for your reply. unfortunately i'm way out of your call out zone (glasgow). had a few folks look at it - all said hotpoint were garbage and they reckon it's main board is blown but no guarantees that this will fix it. phoned hotpoint and took a day off work but the guy didn't show up, so i thought 'f**k this for a carry on' and have given up on it and bought a new bosch washer...hopefully this will last longer! cheers kd.
