5 Hi yes i left it plugged out and turned off and it eventually opened. If this doesnt work there is something round the back which released the door. Dont ring Hotpoint though as they dont have a clue and want to charge you call out.

0 Thank you Dawn. I tried unplugging it and leaving it but eventually called someone out. There's a catch right down the front on the inside that opened the door. There was another problem with it too, which he sorted. He charged a call-out fee of £45 and was here almost an hour. I wasn't too upset by that! Thank you for replying, it was very kind of you :) Beverly
