Hi, The display has been flickering for a couple of years now and has finally gone off completely. I think it's the bulb. Does anyone know how to get into the machine to change it. Thanks Carolyn

4 I had the same problem. There are 5 LED’s that provide the backlight on the display, and they start flickering for a period of time before completely failing. I replaced all 5 LED’s with 3mm high brightness LED’s that I bought on ebay. You have to be quite good with a soldering iron in order to replace them. Remove the 2 screws from the back that retain the lid. Lift the lid from the rear about 4 inches until a click is heard, then slide the lid towards the rear to unfasten the front of the lid. Remove the PCB by pressing down on the several clips on the bottom edge of the PCB. There is just one cable connecter to remove. The 5 LED’s are covered with a tape which contains a reflective strip. This has to be peeled away to gain access to the LED’s. I have attached a picture showing the PCB and the 5 LED’s. The anode lead is the longer of the two, and must be fitted so that it is the furthest right pad on each LED position.
