Question About Hotpoint Washer WMA54
to remove top cover...

i took out 2 screws at front of lid & can lift it up a little. But is caught at back somehow. I can't see where.

4 There are two angled catches at the back of the washer top. You simply lift from the front slightly and push back an inch and that should free the back of the waher top.
