Cant find the manual and all the markings on washing machine buttons have rubbed off.

0 Hi, my WF320 Hotpoint has the prewash button constantly flashing, the drum fills with water, half empties, drum rotates then there is a knocking sound. Same cycle repeats over and over. Any clues please.
