Hotpoint Aquarius wf250, 1500 spin, won't start? ...

Hotpoint Aquarius wf250, 1500 spin, won't start? As if the on/off button isn't registering the request? Have tried unplugging, leaving door open, changing requested cycle wash; everything, to no avail. Pls advise asap! Regards.
