0 i was told it could be the flow switch.thats jammed. i was told to tilt the dryer forwards about 6 inches of the floor and drop it back down. it didnt work for me, the repair man has taken it away and said it is one of two things. i will no more tomorrow . i will let you no if you would like . jane

0 I guess the flow switched is what i identified as the "float" switch. if the pump stops working (as mine did) the resovoir fills up with water. the "flow" switch (polystryrene float) cuts power to the heater and pump so the light is always on. Hard to see how it could get jammed as there is nothing much there. But lifting it and dropping it could dislodge a sticky float if there was crud or something in the resovoir. I replaced my old pump with a small pond submersable pump as i couldn't get the real one. i also realised the old wiring meant that the pump is on all the time the dryer is on??!! even if there is no water to pump. So i changed it over so that when the resovoir fills up the pump turns on! better i think. longer lasting pump. I also changed the outlet pipe to go straight down the drain instead of emptying into the tray. This was because the pump i got wasn't as powerful as the old one and could pump the water up to the tray. I got the largest one that would "submerse" into the resovoir.
