My HWD 1600 Washer Dryer Combo wont driver the rot...

My HWD 1600 Washer Dryer Combo wont driver the rotating tub. The tub spins free and the drive belt is tight. The motor driver axel starts and stops after just a very small movement. There is a delay and it moves again. It seems like the motor is shorting out.
