I was just wondering if there was any way to remove the rubber piece in the front in order for me to clean it? I have done the cleaning products but it still has a musty mold odor and i would really like to just take it out and disinfect the entire thing. It is starting to make my clothing smell like the same odor. Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thanks

0 Hello tsilva1244, thank you for your post! I understand that you would like to remove the rubber gasket from your Frigidaire washer. This is not a typical DIY job. It is advisable to contact an appliance repair tech to make the appropriate repairs. In the meantime, you may attempt rubbing some bleach around the door gasket. Let this dry. Next rub some vinegar around the door gasket. Let this dry. (Do NOT mix the bleach and vinegar). Then run a hot empty load of bleach in all three dispensers. Put 1/2 cup of bleach in the detergent dispenser and fill the softener and bleach dispenser to the max fill line with bleach. Once that is done repeat the process with vinegar. Please make sure you run a load of towels or some sort of items that will not matter if you get a little bleach on them once this process is done. Hope this information helps to some degree!
