An error code E57 could mean a number of issues, but primarily that the motor is overheating or a higher-than-usual motor current caused by other issues. Typically, an experienced technician would remove the belt to check the motor and motor pulley to ensure all is in working order first. Their next step would be to check the tub pulley and tub bearings. Last items they would examine would be the drive motor and speed control board by ohm measurement. Once the tech has ruled out a number of possibilities, he or she can pinpoint the exact problem and the necessary part to fix the issue. Since parts can often be quite costly, I would personally recommend reaching out to a qualified tech who can accurately diagnose the issue your appliance is experiencing.
