When we run the dryer on high heat, the dryer top gets very hot to the touch. We have vacuumed out all the vents but it still is as hot. What should we try next?

0 Hello woberstadt, I am happy to assist you! I understand your Frigidaire dryer, GLEQ332AS2, is overheating. Since you have already vacuumed the vent (lint filter trap), here are a few troubleshooting tips that may help you get to the root cause: First, is your dryer overloaded? You may need to reduce the size of the load. Check to see if anything is blocking the back grate that leads to the blower duct. Air flow is reduced when a dryer has too much laundry in it. Reset your dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. Wait approximately 30 seconds and turn on the fuse for the dryer. Next, turn on your dryer and select a normal cycle. Check your GFI outlets to see if any have been tripped. Sometimes, if an appliance is run on the same circuit as these outlets, it may create potential issues as well. If the dryer continues to overheat, it could possibly have a defective control board, power supply (240V), heating element, sensor or high limit thermostat issue. I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair you dryer.
