Hello. What would cause my dryer lights to blink ...

Hello. What would cause my dryer lights to blink and the beep signal to go off, when the dryer is not in use, and the door is closed? This has been happening randomly for about a week now. The gas dryer is about 14 years old. Nothing has been changed regarding where it's plugged in. Strange thing is that, before the dryer started doing this, it happened with the washing machine a few times. Any ideas, please? Thank you.

0 Good Afternoon Moleytem, I see that you are wanting to know what would cause your dryer lights to blink. In order for me to better assist you, I would need the model number of your appliance, which you can find on the back of the dryer door. Looking forward to hearing from you
