Dryer will not start. When I turn the switch there is a buzz but it does not start. The barrel will move and no obstruction is noticed. Door switch engages tightly when closed. Would the thermal fuse be the cause? Where is it located on this model? Thank you, Gordon GGosser1@wavecable.com

0 Hello ggosser1, thank you for allowing me to assist you! I understand your dryer is inoperable. First, let’s try resetting your appliance. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes, and then turn your dryer on. If the issue persists, you may either have a communication error from the main control board or timer itself may not be operating correctly. If you noticed minimum blinking or a buzzing noise before shutting off, it could be a faulty power supply or it could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the dryer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.
