dryer takes twice as long to dry clothes

0 Hi petemarg, thank you for your post! I understand your dryer is taking a long time to dryer. Let’s try resetting your dryer. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your dryer. Confirmed the door is securely latched and select a cycle. If these basic troubleshooting tips prove ineffective, your dryer may possibly have a defective heating element, blower assembly , wiring, thermal limiter or a communication problem with the control board. At this point, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your dryer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Best regards - Chris
