4 there is a wiring schematic and diagnostic chart under the console. this explains how to take apart the machine. I just purchased a heating element by calling the # on the paperwork. the cost is about $120. the part # is395711. after you disassemble the machine according to the directions you will see on the bottom in the front a sheet metal box held in with two screws. that is the heating element assembly. order you assembly before you remove the sensors that way when you reassemble you will not put them in the wrong places. hope this helps
