My Estate dryer won't start. Model # EED4400SQ0. ...

My Estate dryer won't start. Model # EED4400SQ0. There was a piece hanging down in front of the door on the upper right corner that appeared broken. Maybe the sensor to let the motor know the door is closed? Can you help?
