0 I also have an Equator brand washer/dryier combo and have had the same problem with water being left in the tub. On the front of your machine (or possibly the back) there is a small spring opened flap. Open it and you will see a round piece of plastic with a screw holding it in place. There might be two larger screws on the outer part of it. Leave these alone. These screws hold the entire assembly in place. Unscrew the small singular screw(DON"T LOSE THIS SCREW!) Keep a small bucket near by or a good absorbent towel since thre will be a small amount of water. Once you take the screw out, twist ithe plastic piece to the left and gently pull it out. This small tray is the lint trap for the wash water. Clean out all the gunk and reinstall (carefull not to over tighten the screw or you'll strip the threads). My problem was a coin got into it and it plugged up the water line to the pump so it didn't drain the water out. Once I cleaned it out all the problems went away include the water in tub and the problem of it overfilling. T o cut down on drying time , before you start he dry cycle remove the cloths and gently "fluff" them up so they are not wadded into a lump. "Fluffing" them allows a greater airflow over the cloths so the dry faster and decreases wrinckles to boot. Hope this helps.
