Crosley CW8000W top loader washer won't spin, but will agitate and drain. The lid switch is working fine, the drive belt and pulley are all working. With the machine in spin cycle and the lid switch engaged I can't turn the drum by hand.

4 I appreciate your post, rkhubie! From the information you have provided your Crosley washer will agitate and not spin. Also, you stated that the drum will not turn by hand. With the drum not turning that sound like you could have a possible issue with the transmission. Not spinning during the cycle could be an issue with your drain pump, drain hose, or timer. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would recommend having a professional out to perform a diagnosis. This can help to avoid unnecessary part purchases. –OOS

0 One thing I didn't mention was the washing machine was in storage for about a year. When it was put in storage it worked fine but when I hooked it up after taking it out of storage it wouldn't spin the drum (basket). It drains fine and the timer is working as well.
