What might be wrong with my washer if it is not dr...

What might be wrong with my washer if it is not draining properly (i.e. door stays locked)? I have tried draining the hose and cleaning the drain filter. Door then opened but when running the washer again, the same thing occurred. Is there anything else I could try?
