Oreck Steam Iron JP8100CB

assembly manual

I had to replace my power cord; in the process the spring came out of the power unit. I am having difficulty replacing. Looking for a assembly manual. Thanks.

    The Iron stopped heating. I disassembled the iron and couldn't find anything visually wrong. Power cord OK and the heating and reset buttons light up when power is applied. I filed the thermostat points and noticed that the points are always closed regardless of the thermostat setting. Only found two items besides the thermostat that appear to be replaceable. A ceramic resister and a transister. They may be something else. HELP
