I had noticed a sour smell in the laundry also and we have this same model. You have to take off the drain hose on the back of the washer and clean it out. It holds water and a nasty sludge builds up in the hose. I do this every coupld of months, and also just run an empty load of hot and bleach through it after that and the smell will go away but it always comes back.
