This same thing happened to me today. What worked for me was replacing the thermal fuse. I took the back cover off the dryer (6 bolts and 1 screw). Pretty much right in the middle is the thermal fuse. It is 2" long and white plastic (I've attached a photo.) There is one screw holding it in and two push-on connectors. I removed the part and taped the connectors together with electrical tape as a test. The dryer worked fine. I bought the part at an appliance part store. The part number is 3392519S. It cost me under $10. It's the same part for a whirlpool dryer. I attached the new one, put the cover back on and the dryer is good as new.
Good Luck,
Sandra
