spin cycle won't work

Our washing machine will wash clothes,drain,but will not go through the spin cycle. The motor works fine and the belt is adjusted properly. Any possible solutions to my delema would be appreciated. Bob

    Did you ever get a fix to your spin problem. I am in the same boat. Code read E47 Control board thinks door lock is in open position. Befor I order a CB for $127.00 I want to know if there is another fix.

    A new control board was installed by a technition (my arm's in a sling). That wasn't the problem.The door lock was the culprit. I was told that the technitions replace these often on these machines. Bob

  • spin cycle does not work

    My fix was replacing the door lock. I crossed my fingers and that fixzed it. I did have one problem in replcing the door lock. To get access to the lock you need to loosen the boot that seals the tub around the door opening. there is a spring on the outside that you remove to push the boot away. I removed the inner spring that attaches the boot to the tub a big mistake. it is nearly impossible to get it back on in the limit space provided. the outer spring is much easier to reinstall. good luck
